Anita Genc was born in 1985 in Varaždin, Croatia. Graduated in 2012 from the Faculty of Teacher Education in Zagreb, specializing in Primary Education and Visual Arts. During her studies, she developed a multidisciplinary approach, exploring various media and techniques, ranging from painting and drawing to illustration, wall art design and visual communication. In her artistic practice, she combines abstract painting with an intuitive approach and a deep connection to nature, memory, and the cultural heritage of her native region. For more than 16 years, she has been actively engaged in mural painting, transforming public space such as schools, hospitals, and cultural institutions into vibrant carriers of story, color, and emotion.
Anita is also dedicated to community and humanitarian work, having painted spaces for children with special needs and hospital wards, bringing warmth and color into the daily lives of those who need it most. Her mural work goes beyond functional decoration and represents a sensitive visual language that invites contemplation and opens a space for personal interpretation. Every wall becomes a canvas, and every painting a visual poem, enriching the environment and evoking a sense of connection, lightness, and inner presence.
